A long, bushy tail flicked wildly as the young tom waltzed his way through the maze of sunflowers. Silas found this place to be quite the get away. The flowers were so tall that they provided adequate shade for any feline who roamed the jungle of flowers. At this time of the year, Silas would much prefer for the flowers to not shade his pelt from the warmth of the sun.
After taking his time to reach his favorite spot in the patch, a soft purr emitted from the depths of his throat. His honey orbs laid upon his nest which rested underneath some of the largest flowers there. Dead stalks and petals adorned his nest, creating insulation for those cold nights which are soon to come. Silas padded over to the bed and began to frivolously paw at the nest in hopes of warming it to some degree. Once he was satisfied with the work he put into heating up his little bungalow, Slias briskly plopped down on the bed.
The heavily furred paws of Silas flung towards the sky as he rolled onto his back, bringing up dirt. What a way to finish off an appetizing meal, dust bath. This is one of the very few things that motivates Silas to wake in the morning. Silas began rolling furiously, causing his hind legs to flail about and ruin the nest. In mid roll, Silas' opened his eyes, catching sight of his nest now in the air. He grumbled and stood up, shaking off the excess dust. The dusted tom began to tediously sweep the debris back into the nest. Once Silas had gathered all that he could, a sigh of relief escaped him. Oh, the life of a nomad.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://wimg.co.uk/o9c.png] her paws trod the ground once more after a quick rest in her travels. she had been wandering the country for some time in hopes of reaching some place -- any place, really. she just longed to find her purpose. she shared the common desire of a nomad like herself. charade, as much as she hid it, wanted to do more than to just live. the more she walked and the more she saw other cats happily living their lives to the fullest the fiercer the fire of her desire burned. she grumbled to herself at her continuous thoughts. they were bothersome, to be sure. i am being so naive! she told herself, a firm frown planted on her otherwise expressionless face. there is no way i shall ever find this 'purpose.' there's no purpose in this stupid world. her anger fumed the more she scolded herself.
she flicked her tail through the fronds of the sunflowers, high stems towering above her as sunlight shimmerd through shafts developed by the large petals. a sigh escaped her maw; charade took a deep breath in attempt to calm herself down, although it didn't seem to work too well. she still felt upset at herself and at the world to a point she rose to her hind legs and yowled, "you're cruel, world! you know that? just plain cruel!" she pounced at the ground with her forelegs and thrashed at the leaves surrounding her, pacing and hissing and sniffing in confusion. she was annoyed more than she ever had been before, even more irritated when she couldn't perceive other's motives like she usually could. charade simply could not believe herself. two sides battled back and force as she paced for several moments; finally, she just couldn't take it anymore! charade began proceeding, bounding forward and fiercely growling and hissing as she went. silly me! ohh, silly me! i'm such an idiot!
charade shook her head, trying to rid it of its idiocy, although of course, it didn't work. she groaned and took two more steps forward before collapsing to the ground. after all that frustration and thrashing, she was quite exhausted, chest heaving. she wearily looked up and tensed to see a massive tom; at least, he appeared so with such long fur. he was white, black, and tan; honey orbs revealing a narcissistic feline. her brows furrowed... she rose to her paws and stood there, completely still. "hello," she purred in a silky voice, hiding her gritting teeth well. "i hope i haven't interrupted anything... have i?

Silas loved the isolation. He had Silas all for himself. Silas was never one for socializing, he always seemed to ruin the atmosphere once he arrived. Also, he hated having to face other cats. He hated the smell of any living thing besides himself and dinner. The only scent left from lunch was that belch from hell which not to recently escaped from his mouth. The stench of the once lively chipmunk was not to friendly to Silas and his whiskers. The smell alone could burn the hair off of any animal and kill any plant within a few yards. Silas grimaced, rolling away from his burp.
ack. What is that scent? I can smell it over my noxious gas. He questioned, perking his ears in hopes that whatever the other visitor in the patch was would not happen upon him and ruin the alone time. If only Amaretto were there. Silas would be a different cat than he is today at this very point and time. His dear Amaretto would not stand for such repulsive behavior that he was exhibiting. She always encouraged the throat belch. It saved and others from having to run away from Silas when he had it coming. He chuckled halfheartedly, reminiscing back to when life was euphoric. Oh, how those were the days.
Silas frowned, Amaretto would be ashamed of what he allowed himself to become. He's made promises to himself multiple times to better himself since her death. Alas, all of those promises have just been empty lies to himself. Silas loved getting himself excited over the the false hopes that he had bestowed upon himself. Even if they were lies, it felt amazing to think highly of himself.
The suddenness of her voice almost brought him to his feet. Then, the laziness set in and he fell back down onto his side, head directed towards the unfamiliar cat. Silas laid his ears against his head, squinting as she spoke. "So, you're the one I smelled." He replied, disregarding her question. Had she interrupted anything? There was the possibility that she had. Silas was unsure of whether she did or not. Her random appearance resulted in him forgetting what it was that he was doing there.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://wimg.co.uk/o9c.png] the male before her seemed to be quite the inappropriate and lazy type, falling all over the place and unconcerned about her and the world. so this is what happens when a male is left alone without a female for a few years,
|
[/color] she reasoned. why am i not surprised?[/color] then she thought over his quick utter of "so you're the one i smelled." in which she had almost missed. as she thought over this, she sat down, lifting up her delicate white paw and licking it thoughtfully for a moment, pink tongue slipping over the outstretched black claws. it was almost a threat, for they were clearly visible to the other feline. "so i see! i have not interrupted anything, since, of course, you are hardly responding. well, then, may i ask you what you are doing here? what is your business? of course, this is only out of curiosity..."[/b] she thought carefully over her words as they rolled on her tongue. now that she was getting in the swing of things, charade figured that she may as well play with every cat she comes in contact with. since that dreadful black and white kitty turned her words around and smothered them in her own face, charade had been quite discouraged. but now? such a clueless, incompetent fool would be delightful to trick. at the back of her mind she worrid, however. she had not been doing nearly as well in her game as she had before. as she proceeded in her thinking, she nearly forgot at what she had been yowling about before. suddenly, she remembered it, and she stared down at her paws. what is my meaning?[/color] she wondered for a split second; then she looked up at the fat cat and smirked. what's his? i suppose not everyone has a meaning, or perhaps no one does; they just do things.[/color] but then again, what was that calling she had felt when she was a mere kitten, alone and sitting in the darkness, insanity curling around her and being her friend in those times? in the rain and the storm? she just sighed and stood silent, waiting for the stranger's reply. A sharp chuckle emitted from Silas' throat as he observed the stranger. A bath did sound good. This tom thoroughly loved grooming himself. A clean slob. That's a bit of a contradiction. Is it not?
Silas' ears flicked towards the female, Was was I doing here? What is she doing here? I am Silas'. I can be wherever I please.Thinking to himself, debating on replying to her. Maybe, just maybe if he decided to ignore her, she'd go away. His eyes flickered, looking her over. doubt it. Licking his lips, Silas' was hesitant. Curious or not, Silas' felt that he didn't need to tell anyone of his affairs. He gave in after a few moments of some not so deep thinking. "I, dear lady, am simply enjoying this lovely weather." He replied, exposing his pearly white teeth. His velcro-like tongue ran over them, admiring his beauty. Silas' shook his over furred head in admiration. His eyes fell upon his paws,"What business? I have no business to be anywhere actually. This is my summer home. Nice view. No?" Silas questioned the female, motioning up to the sky which was barely visible through the over sized flowers. A soft sigh emitted from his throat as he took in the beauty of his surroundings. Y'know what is more beautiful than nature? Silas'. Well, so he thought.
His whiskers twitched as he eyed the strange female. What a specimen. She was indeed interesting, a bit clumsy in appearance. Silas', he could never be clumsy. It wasn't in him to be completely unaware of his surroundings. Despite that it didn't appear like he was aware of things, he was. He just preferred for others to think of him as an idiot. It discourages them from any attempts at socialization. For the past year, it's done him wonders. This was the first feline he crossed paths with that decided to spark up a conversation with him. Maybe it was his dashing good looks. Who could resist those eyes of honey tinted glass. Silas' just loves his reflection. He could sit there for hours admiring that good lookin' fellow. It feels great to be so damn conceited.

Silas rolled onto his back, eyes set on the female like stone. A cackle emitted from his throat as she cringed. Silas' didn't have much to think about. When he says that he's doing nothing, he's doing nothing. This tom has nothing going for him in this lifetime or the next. His velcro tongue swiped over his incisors, "il dolce far niente." The words flowed like sweet honey from a freshly opened comb. It seems that this girl could learn a thing or two from Silas despite his broken appearance.
"i see; it is a nice view, isn't it?" Silas smirked once again, shaking his head to her reply. A nice view to Silas would include a tree full of sky rats. Hunger ached the tom's stomach, reminding him that it was about that time again. Silas loved the alarm that goes of on a bi-hourly basis. He never denied himself a decent meal. He lifted his head, eying his belly. Silas lifted a tri-colored paw and jabbed at his gut, allowing a frustrated sigh to escape from his dark lips. "Sweet sky rats... I am out of shape." He muttered, eyes filling with remorse towards his last few meals. "You can stay if you'd like." He replied, still prodding at his jiggly belly.
Silas' ears ached, taking in all of her questions. Typical female. Still on his back, Silas proceeded to answer her. "If we are going to play twenty questions, you'll have to answer the questions that you just asked me." He eyeballed her, hoping she would agree to the requirements.
Silas cleared his throat, "Now, for starters. I am Silas. Who are you?" He echoed her question, again smirking to himself. What an interesting specimen she is. This should be fun. It's been what seems like ages since Silas has held a stimulating conversation with another feline.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://wimg.co.uk/o9c.png] she found herself blinking and staring at the tom, listening to his strange sayings as well. it felt very awkward, but she managed, still hopping around. she eyed the fat cat carefully as he spoke. he seemed to be following along with her strangeness, and she frowned, disliking his hidden intelligence. "now, for starters, i am silas. now who are you?" she continued to dance around, desiring to ignore his words and the game he strove to play. nevertheless, her curiosity succumbed her suspicion and her hate for losing, especially against fools. the bi-polar she-cat lifted her nose and pointed it to the sky, eyes shut. "silas, eh?" she growled, flicking her tail and circling the tom again. she was a bit reluctant to share her name with such a silas, but she shrugged and mewed, "they call me charade." her black, white, and red fur rippled as she moved. her hollow eyes sparkled mischievously. "or rather, i call myself that for, indeed, most do not know my name and i was not given one at birth." her eyes shadowed, a shudder passing through her body. the bottom of her essence stirred, and fear made her eyes go wide, whites showing, for a split second. the insanity was coming! it threatened her! the nightmares came and haunted her being, the buzzing sounding in her ears, heart thumping like a drum. it hated her. oh, the cruel world! it hated her and loved all the others. oh, but they'll learn.. she determined for a moment.
suddenly, she snapped out of her strange feelings and shook the threats away. the past was the past, and now was the time to brutalize others with her riddles and nightmares so they would feel her same pain. that was her mission. her purpose. or so she believed; still, as much as she teased others, she still felt empty, hollow, and unfulfilled. she gritted her teeth, lashed her tail, and let her claws dig at the earth, all in an attempt to hide it. it wasn't working. the stress continued to beat her down. she nearly screamed at the pain of the voices and the noises. she was going insane! she desperately needed... she needed... she didn't know! it hurt her, the scars ripped open, and she nearly convulsed with confusion and surrounding emotion. oh, the pain! her past! why?!
ooc: i just realized charade is an extremely awkward character to play and to play with xDD.
