eclipse that shrouds the moon.

a white, tan, and gray male with serene golden eyes.

a white base coat serves as the first layer for many layers of light grays and tans; a beige plays its role as the various shadings of the white base, while many dark gray stripes appear to mock the patterns of a tiger. he also has darker tan speckles and light gray spots in various areas, as if those colors were randomly splattered on a pure white canvas. to complete this masterpiece, golden hazel rosettes that match his eyes run up and down is right limb. overall, he really is a gorgeous feline with his many coordinating colors and mixture of things. however, that is merely the beginnings of his majestic pelt -- he also has bright golden wings that glisten like the sun; these wings, however, are small and imitate those of a bird. his tail sprouts out long and spikey, rings of dark golden and gray surrounding them. his claws are long and black with faint red tips.
his build is less impressive compared to his showy colors, although he is still muscular and very much so capable of fighting. swiftness over power, he flits from enemy to enemy, unleashing quick nips and slashes until he weakens them for their next opponent and so on. his strategy may be unusual, but it opens up a whole new rank for him to follow.

it seems to be if he was such a skilled fighter he would unleash his wrath upon his foes, although such is not so. he is not a bloodthirsty monster who seeks to demolish all until rising sun is the very best tribe. nor is he some stubborn, stuck-up fool. in fact, he is far from. eclipse seeks the more peaceful side, wisdom shooting up like steam from a geiser in his mind. things just seem to come naturally to him, and you may often see him daydreaming away in the afternoon sun rather than working hard to please his mentor. as wise as he is at times, eclipse is still very childish and immature most of the time, although in a different way than most males his age. he isn't trying to impress and gawk in front of females. eclipse merely desires to have fun, and being risky and making wrong and foolish choices is part of it.

ten months ago, eclipse was born. he was slipped out of his nice, cozy haven into a cold and cruel world, mewling with eyes and ears sealed closed. there was one comfort, however: his mother's belly. he feebly crawled to it, sensing a substance to fill his empty stomach. eventually, he found comfort sitting among his mother and his sister, curling up against the other living bodies. the great thump of his mother's heart was shaking, but great. he spent his very first days curled up there, just breathing and recovering from the shock that had overcome him when he came from happiness to havoc. soon enough, his sister woke up, scarlet eyes wide open and ready to explore. she poked and prodded eclipse over and over; he just wanted to sleep! he mewled and mewled in his first few annoyances, taking shield in his mother's fur. "stop that, horizon!" she hissed, lightly whipping the pestering kitten with her tail. "ohh, fiiinnee," she muttered, revealing the first steps of her stubbornness and girliness. she merely strolled towards the exit of the den and begged to be allowed out. again, eclipse was disturbed; he uttered his very first growl, throat rumbling. finally, he decided he may as well wake up, for the sake of his stupid sister.
"that's it, you're doing great!" he felt his mother's encouraging breath on his back; that was comforting. a small smile curled up on his maw as he shakily rose to his paws. his sister had noticed; she was bounding and hopping all over the place already! she urged him impatiently, squeaking, "c'mon, eclipse! you're only making it harder for all of us. open your eyes!" eclipse heard the light whack of his mother's tail. justice was done, and eclipse's chest swelled. he took a deep breath and forced his eyes open, whatever that meant. they stretched out wide; he yelped in surprise as blinding whiteness flooded into his weak pupils. "oww!" he mewled, falling back. a small chuckle was heard from his mother. "your first word," she whispered, a big smile on her face. he wasn't exactly what a word was, but he figured it was a sound, for that was what she was referring to. he blinked several times and eventually got used to the light, although the den was very dim compared to the outside. "now can we go outside, mother?" horizon asked, anxiously waving her tail in the air. "well..." she considered it for a moment. "i suppose it couldn't hurt, but of course, that's up to eclipse." her giant head lowered down to match her large and sincere golden eyes with his. "what do you think, dearie? would you like to go outside and explore?" eclipse would have questioned her as to what 'outside' meant, but it seemed to be making bothersome horizon so anxious he smirked and said, "oh, i dunno..." he tilted his head and thought about it for a moment, increasing her suspension. after a whole minute, horizon yelled, "oh come on! i can't take it anymore! i'm going out, idiot!" she lifted her head high up in the air and marched out. eclipse broke out laughing, but the look his mother gave him made him stop right away. "er... sorry, mother." she only purred and curled her fuzzy tail around him. "it's okay, eclipse. it's okay..." she then took a step out of the den and eclipse followed.
after his first step outside of the den, eclipse instantly got to know the place and all of the cats inhabiting it. time seemed to fly by as he finally received his mentor and learned all about rising sun's history and the task he was destined to do. eclipse accepted it, following his mentor anywhere and everywhere. no matter how much he learned, eclipse always got stuck with his sister, horizon, somehow. she would talk to him at night even though he was exhausted; eclipse simply could not believe how much obnoxious energy horizon had! she just talked and talked and talked. i wonder how much her mentor 'loves' her... he often thought, chuckling to himself.
at the age of about seven months, three months ago, his mother was diagnosed by a passing disease. grief overcame him, for he was extremely close to her. after the matter of three days she died a quick death. this struck him hard and for about a month his training was delayed and he was quite distant, although after much discussion with his mentor, he is finally put to rest even though he still thinks about her always.
to this day he has trained and trained, excited and enthusiastic about all of it. even though his ceremony is postponed a month, he doesn't mind -- he just tries his best and that's all there is to it.
