To be put bluntly, Avryn is small unlike the rest of her tribemates. Very nimble and wiry in build but swift, she has long limbs to make up for her small size. If she had average-proportioned limbs she would never gaze past her tribemates' shoulders. She is also very fast due to this, and they are extionally slender and bony. Her coat is clear, bright white, marked with many pale gray tiger stripes on her back, sides, head, neck, limbs, and tail. In this way she does fit in with her tribe. Avryn has a sharp, pink nose and her tounge is the same bright kitten color, while her eyes are a livid red, and in this way too does she fit in. Her most stunning feature, by far, is the pair of wings upon her shoulderblades. They were half-hawk, half-bat in build, really, with one main bone and another bone sprouting from that for support, these were covered by fur just like that which colored her body. But between these, on a thin membrane, were pure white feathers. At first, they are covered with vertical curving lines, the same pale gray as her body stripes. Yet as they reach towards the tip they grow darker until at last they are pitch black.

One unique feline indeed when it comes to her mind. Smug and somewhat scornful, she comes off as dark and aloof. Though, like most Rising Sun cats, she is deathly loyal and fierce in battle. Death does not pahse her, but for a different reason than most. She strongly believes she has nothing to live for, which may just be true. She craves warfare when possible, and takes pride in her great speed, both of body and mind. Sharp-tounged and quick to judge, quick to act, and quick to speak, she rarely thinks things through all the way. Combat comes natrually to her, each move happening as if Avryn were controlled by something other than herself, plans being made without even having to think almost. She is also a very good multitasker and handles stress very well, though she despises needing help from others. She longs to become a captain, and to be known throughout the tribes. She is a truely brutal monster when angered, with a very shilling, maybe even insane, attribute. She can go from calm and eerie, with a dazzling grin and a flicking tail, to a murderer in a heartbeat. Smiling as she calmly and cheerfully threatens and verbally assaults. Then merciless and unbelievable as she destroys those in her tribe's path. Many fail to see her as an active member of Rising Sun for all the time she spends away from others, lost in thought where none could find her, in her own seceret hiding place. Impatient, yes, and even bipolar at times. She has her 'normal' moments, those where when surrounded by friends, she can be friendly and encouraging, but otherwise she tends to remain cold and cruel, surrounded by the emotional wall she has placed between her and those around her.

For a cat so seemingly innocent, she has quite a past. Born a loner, she was known as 'the daughter of Kova and Aluba.' That was all she had to say and she would get admiring looks. For Kova, dear old dad, was a well-known champion among the masses and Aluba was a beautiful she-cat. Avryn was loved by her parents and her brother, Sevryn, and the family was very close. But then the problems arose.
Aluba, the mother, had been desired by many tomcats and her choosing Kova enraged them. They hated her kittens and hated Kova, and one day while Avryn and Sevryn were on their way back from an exploring mission, they were ambushed. They knew the cat well. It was Kova's brother, Valobus, and his ragtag gang of fellow Aluba-lovers. They attacked and killed Sevryn, who was the larger of the two siblings but also the slowest. The kitten Avryn was able to escape with only a badly cut flank but a severely scarred mind. Her brother was closer to her than most siblings, as there were no other kittens to play with. And besides, if you watched your brother ripped limb from limb, saw his guts pulled out by ghastly jaws, wouldn't you be terrified as well? To the current day, and to her death, Avryn will be haunted by the memory. She made it home where she collasped, having fainted from blood loss and sheer terror.
Waking up in the morning, she found her parents standing over her worriedly. They had saved their daughter's life with leaves pressed to her bleeding side, but were unable to save her mind. She lived in pure terror of other cats for a full two months before Valobus and his gang would strike again. Once more, Avryn witnessed a cat murdered before her eyes, and that time it was Kova. Brother had killed brother. Taking pity upon the small kitten, he let her live but demanded she be tended to by her aunt and uncle, two loving cats with a recent litter of their own fairly far away. Too far for visits, at least. Avryn was told she was 'just going for a little while' and it was a four day journey, attended by Aluba while Valobus prepared the den for the new litter that he was planning to set upon Avryn's poor mother. Yet on the last day, Aluba told her daughter something stunning. "I am leaving, my darling daughter," she said tearfully, "and you must tell all that I am dead. One day I will return for you and we will be happy without Valobus." She told Avryn how to find her new caretakers and when she did, they knew the kitten right away. She had her mother's coat and eyes, though the wings were something new to them. She told the story of how Aluba had been swept away in the river, not knowing it was actually true. Avryn, after being cared for by Zuba and her mate Nekiya alongside their kits Saro, Karia, and Oplan, soon came upon Aluba's dead body beside a river one day while playing with Oplan. She was heartbroken, and in a rage against the world now. They had taken everything from her and now they were make her suffer, wouldn't they?
It was true. Valobus hunted for Aluba and happened upon Avryn's new home, where he right away realized that something was up. Zuba, obviously Aluba's sister, told the story of how they had found Aluba's body by the river, dead. He believed they were lying and when he was unable to get 'the truth' from them, he killed Zuba and Nekiya, leaving the kittens to wander on their own. The younger three died sadly, as they were no more than one or two months old. Four-month-old Avryn was found by a tribe, and was taken in by them.
She felt this was where she belonged. She trained and grew, she thrived. Until of course, one day wandering alone brought up a rather odd sight. A tom named Mortem. Brave and strong, the loner was a charmer who Avryn fell in love with right away, despite their different lives. He was a dark, dangerous cat who often struggled against slaying Avryn, but he also loved her. They met in secret for several months. There as something she saw in Mortem that might have killed her. She wanted it to be true.
Avryn knew what a monster he was, but loved him anyways. With all of her heart, actually. Which was when he was discovered dead by a river, just like Aluba had been, she was stricken and defeated. After some investigation, it was discovered that Valobus had killed Mortem to get back at Avryn. She encountered her uncle one day, and she confronted him. He agreed; yes, he had been wanting to make Avryn feel the pain that he had felt since the cursed cat's birth. "You don't have the heart to hurt as much as I have," she responded. "You killed my brother, my father, my soulmate, and my soul. You drove my mother and I to terror. You haunted us, Valobus. You only felt the loss of a gone lover but I have suffered more and now you will know what death is like, for I live it every day."
With that, the swift feline killed Valobus.
