Rukia, at best, is a stunning tomcat. Across his coat of coarse blue fur are hardly visible darker waves, but they are ignored of course. The spotlight rests on the dozens of 'stars' in the colorings, and the moon on his right back leg. Quite a charming colored tom, no? Upon his head he seems to have 'hair' in a strict style, over his eyes. This hair starts just behind his ears and is often kept neatly between them, always sticking straight forward. The tips of this little addition is a pale yellow color, like the stars. His paws are the same color as well, marked in elegant fading stripes, and his tailtip as well. Impressive, no? Well, one simply must see his wings. White at the tips, they go to blue as they near the base of the wing is the same faded stripes that mark his paws and tail-tip. His eyes, almost alien in appearance, lack pupils and take on a stunning aqua color.

If ever a cat could die inside, then that would fit Rukia perfectly. Constantly depressed, sad, and troubled, he is haunted and is known to call out the name 'Melidae' in his sleep. On the other hand, he can be dark and maybe even murderous, He has several sides to him; the kitten in hidng, the friendly furry idiot, the quiet misunderstood adolescent, the mourning lover, and the violent monster.
Aloof, he prefers to stay to himself, which fits his nomadic lifestyle well. He rarely speaks, per se, but rather prefers to use his ownly power; telepathy. Another power he has is rarely used, he can sense other's emotions and at times can project his own onto them. (The secret behind this power, not even known by Rukia himself, is he can sense and somewhat influence the flow of all sorts of hormones in another's mind.) He's very soft towards kits, and enjoys being around them quite a bit.
Once he sets his mind on something, there's no changing that. Stubborn and determined is what Rukia is best known for indeed. He is a thoughtful tom, full of questions and knowledge. When he does speak (or use telepathy) he's very proper about his words. And his voice, when in the air rather than in another's mind, one must admit it is charming. (CoughBrittishaccentcough.)

From the start, he was special. His two parents were, litterally, as different as day and night. His mother Dailai was marked like a night sky, and as time would prove her son would follow in her footsteps. Meanwhile his father Volan was golden like a bright sunset sky, he even had a bright sun on his left shoulder, and calm amber eyes. Rukia's sibling Melidae was the spitting image of dear old dad, but much smaller. She was the same size as the long lost sibling, unnamed to this day, whom was dark like a night sky but with a bright sun-looking spot on her chest. This sibling died soon after birth and so the parents feared that Melidae would as well, yet she survived the critical days.
It was apparent that Melidae was timid beyond words. When they'd go out to play with Dailai's sister's kits, she would hide behind Rukia and he took to protecting her. If anyone bullied poor Melidae then surely Rukia would avenge her. While this happened, Dailai and Volan grew farther apart. Volan despised his daughter, calling her weak and useless, and admired his strong young son. Meanwhoile, Dailai thought of Rukia as arrogant and cocky, and favored Melidae more as a gentle and loving soul. Soon it was a full-fledged war between the two adults while Rukia and Melidae were pryed apart. They loved eachother as most siblings should, and without eachother they were not happy.
When the parents seperated, they each took a kitten, and Rukia of course went with Volan. He was a dark soul despite his bright colors and taught his son in the ways of a murderer for months. One day, wandering the woods, Rukia and Volan happened upon none other than Melidae and Dailai. A fight ensued. Volan killed Dailai but was stopped from harming Melidae by her big brother. Enraged, Volan allowed Melidae to stay with them. But soon things went awry again when Rukia's darling, delicate sister fell in love.
He was a large black tomcat, a nomad as well, but he had an angry mind and no good intentions at all. His name was Tigro. The tomcat terrified Rukia but Volan was proud; after all, he was going to be Tigro's mate's father! What an honor! Tigro was a champion indeed, whom Rukia despised but Melidae loved. It was clear to the starlit tom that Tigro cared nothing at all for Melidae but she wouldn't listen to him and sure enough, not long after Melidae birthed Tigro's kittens, she turned up dead with a huge slit in her throat. Rukia knew Tigro did it, though he hinted to Volan that he believed Rukia did it. Believing that a month or two with Tigro's training would set him right (though he was actually proud of Rukia for 'ridding the world of another weakling' which he did now) and so, the black tom taught the winged one how to be dark. He still hated him for killing his beloved sister and hated himself for not saving her, but soon what Tigro said made sense. When did anyone win a fight by being kind? When had anyone gained from being kind?
Yet Rukia realized what was happening to him. He was becoming evil like Tigro and Volan. One day during 'training' the kind side of Rukia started a heated quarrel between the two, which ended in Tigro's death. Fearing his father's wrath and wanting to leave and start a new life, the winged tom fled.
