Rukia. Pale, pupiless eyes opened to a world he had only seen a few times before, and only at night for that matter; the barn. Here he had slept and here he had eaten a fine meal, and here he decided he would stay for winter. Pale gradient wings stretched as their beholder did, forming an elegant shape in the air. Deciding that jumping down from the hayloft where he stood would be too classic, the starry tom glided down gracefully, soon folding his wings back. A rustling sound caught his attention and he froze, looking around.
Mouse! His mouth, already watering from the scent of rodents wandering about the infested barn, dripped onto the dirt floor. He pounced, catching the creature swiftly and dealing the final blow, he then dug in. It was delectable and wonderful on his tongue and it didn't last long, but he left the remains as they were. Eh, he had no time to clean up for today he was explore his new 'temporary' home. He bent his head to lick the moon shape on his back leg, then lick his front paws one at a time. Then he'd launch off the ground and back to the hayloft, thankful for his wings. He gave a slight huff and gazed around, flicking his pale yellow tail-tip. "Is anyone here?"

It had been quite a while since the last time she'd actually found a decent place to stay, and the barn she'd passed up on the way into unknown territory had looking deliciously inviting. Her silent feet seemed to hover over the ground as she aimlessly retraced her steps, Brilliant blue eyes shimmered elegantly as a porcelain face pushed into the darkness that was the barn. Her eyes adjusted accordingly, fitting the darker scenery around her as she quietly navigated with ease through the veil of black.
Ears flitting this way and that, a familiar noise was caught by them. It was the soft scuffling of mice. She locked her eyes onto the target before her when all of a sudden a blue blur crossed paths with her field of vision. Broadway sat up, cocking her head. It was feline, but ... wings? Not to mention that his fur was blue and had stars patterned across it. She blinked. Forgetting that she'd been lost in her own curiosity, she watched him leap and soar back up to the loft before asking a question to no one in particular.
"I'm not sure if I count, but I'm here," Broadway cooed softly, and though her voice was quiet, she was sure he'd hear. She let her darkly colored tail curl around her chocolate paws, her head tilting back so that she could look up into the loft to see if he'd venture down.

Rukia. He jumped when he heard the voice; it was strange to him actually to see another living thing in the barn despite the fact it was, indeed, well, a barn. That in itself was attractive as a sheltering place. She wasn't sure if she counted. Hmm. Okay then. He gazed down at her with his bright eyes, puzzled, letting his hair fall over his eyes. The pale tips danced before his face as he spoke. "Who, exactly, is the fine feline I'm addressing?"
'Fine feline' was a term he used often just to get in good graces with others but it was true. He had never before seen such a colored and shaped cat as the one before him but then again, maybe she had never seen a cat with starts and a moon on him, and wings to boot. "My name is Rukia." He glided down again as if flying were more natrual than walking (which was slightly true to him) and walked a few more paces, coming to sit before her. He kept his wings spread out behind him; it was something he didn't quite know very well but was actually a display for the ladies. Eh, it was built into him. Single tom, when faced with pretty she-cat. What could be done?

"Broadway," she said, her bell-like voice chiding softly. She flinched slightly when he glided downward to the dusted floor, her eyes watching him. She wasn't too sure about this tom, but he seemed friendly enough. However, this did not mean that she trusted him. As far as she knew, he could be after her the second she made her company known, and not in a good way.
"Why, might I ask, are you covered in stars? And you're blue, and your wings ... I've never seen such an oddity," she blurted, suddenly feeling quite impolite. "Oh, dear, well, I apologize for that outburst, I've just never come across someone like you," she shrugged. "What might I refer to you as?" the question was finally asked, a soft charm coming about her. The tip of her tail flicked and she rolled onto the ground, letting the dust cover her before she were to shake it off. She hesitated for a second before reaching out a dainty paw and gracing his wing with her toes.

Rukia. He nodded at her name, slightly ashamed of his own nonsense name. Hers, well, it ment something and his was just a name. He realized he had somewhat startled her, and so his guess was right. She was not used to his type at all, just as he was not used to the siemese kind, though he had heard of them with darker paws, tails, and various other parts and different bodies than the ruff-and-tuff cats of the tribal lands and the wandering nomads.
Her slight akwardness amused him, he gave a light smile and flapped his wings a bit. "Well, it's just the way I was born. My mother was the same as me... And the wings sure do come in handy sometimes. I guess I'm just weird like that," he joked, not at all offended by her comments. "It's fine. There's a few others out there with wings, and some with wild colors, if you look in the right places. And I'm just plain old Rukia the nomadic cat." He gave out his title like it was some hilarious curse, and in a way it had a sorta funny ring to it. He watched as she brushed his wing. "You must not be from around here."

Broadway listened intently as the tom explained how his mother seemed to look just like him. I was strange to her, considering the only cats she'd ever been around looked fairly normal. She sneezed softly and pardoned herself, letting him continue.
"Rukia," she repeated, her voice silky and smooth. "No, I'm not from around here." She sat up and shook her head, dust flying from her fur. Broadway sneezed again. "God Bless myself. It seems that rolling around in the dust wasn't such a good idea," she chuckled. She stood and shook off the rest of her body, proceeding to sit back down. "Would it bother you if I bathed myself?" she asked, not wanting to seem rude. If anything, Broadway could always make time to clean herself later. She smiled sweetly at Rukia. He'd been the only company she'd had since she'd stumbled upon the lifestyles of the three clans, and she'd held no interest in joining any one of them, so it felt good to have an acquaintance, at least. She lifted a chocolate paw and naturally closed her eyes, licking between her pads and washing over her dirtied limb.
