Verrance Drike
It's hard to say I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep.
'Cause everything is never as it seems.

Ver is just an average tom in build and shape, some would say. And it's fairly true, as he's not overly bulky or bone thin. His coat is short and sleek, soft to the touch, and taking on a light blueish aqua color. This color becomes lighter on his muzzle, chest, paws, and tail-tip where at last they all reach white. And, being the air divinity, it would just be wrong to be without wings. His are feathered softly in white, with each feather being rather long and broad. His wings are very powerful, actually. Upon his hip area, just before the base of his tail, are several pale blue flecks, all rather small. The tomcat's nose is dark blue, as are the insides of each ear, and his eyes are a meduim gray tone. Inside them, they have blue-gray, silver, and very dark gray flecks and swirls, giving them a dreamy appearance. Speaking of appearances. Ter, looking at him, is a very feminine cat. The only 'tomly' things about him are, of course, what makes him a tom and his sharp eyes.

A friendly, peaceful tom, he's easy to get along with. He tends to be more proper about what he does, and is also a very social cat. Loyalty is held high in his book, and he's very thoughtful and wise, never jumping into things without planning extensively. He craves knowledge and as such he is a smart tom, 'booksmart' yet not nearly as 'streetsmart'. He will respect only those who he feels deserve respect and will strive to make friends wherever he goes.
When angered, though, this is a different story. He doesn't hold grudges very often but at the moment of rage he can get very fiesty, yet rarely attacking unless attacked first. Bloodshed is something he dislikes a great deal, and the thought of killing a cat in cold blood disgusts him. He's very protective of those who need it, but gets attatched to things very easily, which makes loosing them that much harder in him. He's not the kind of cat who was made to be able to handle much stress, and he falls apart easily.
One of his powers, if one will, is very simple. Being the Air Divinity, he can control the wind-- to an extent. Enough to carry a scent away from somebody else, enough to set a flight path off, in rare cases enough to knock winged creatures to the ground, especially in storms.
Another of his abilities is empathy. Unless carefully guarded, Ter is sure to know what one is feeling, and feel it too sometimes. Whether he likes it or not.

Ver was born to a gentle mother, but a scornful and dark father, whom was a god-like figure with his amazing powers and knowledge, though his past is cloudy and he is remembered very little. Ver's father was known only as Owl, though it is known that it was not his true name. Owl and Klenna Drike. Klenna was but a normal cat; a black feline with white paws and tail-tip, and calm amber eyes. While Owl was a bright, blazing blue across his muscular body. At a young age for Ver, Klenna was freed of her controlling mate, leaving her to Ver and his sister Tabitha. Tabitha was normal as well, though she had bright black feathered wings; yet in every other way she was Klenna's younger twin. They were actually more like sisters than mother and daughter, while in many ways Ver was more like their father or older brother than their son and brother. Life was utterly perfect in every way, as Klenna was a nimble hunter and wonderful fighter, and she had no trouble providing for herself and her growing kittens. Varrance and Tabitha started to grow apart, as Tabitha fell in love and moved off with her mate, and Klenna found a new mate and birthed a litter. Verrance stayed only to watch his half-brothers grow to six moons of age before leaving, to find his own place in the world.
It was on this path that he encountered two friends; the beautiful Tarena and the brave Mipo. The trio traveled far and wide, where Verrance discovered his powers; wind.
Sooner or later, they had to settle down. Tarena and Mipo became mates, but they still journeyed with Verrance. It was then that he encountered his biggest challenge yet. Half-brother, son of Owl and Freeana Drike. Velin Drike. He was a towering wind cat with bright blue fur, but his heart was black. He feared that in his quest to become almighty Verrance would win and so Velin tried to kill Verrance, failing and ultimately dying of infection despite his killer's best attempts to save him. Sure, Velin had tried to kill him but he was his half brother and his death was all his fault.
Verrance then fought in the war, where he drained his anger on the enemy all the while showing wisdom and patience. He was honored to become immortal, and even moreso to take up the element he loved. [EDITED]
