The clouds cross above her. They are grey and full, and they look so heavy. They make the tiny girl sad, filling her with thoughts about her love, about her isolation. Makes her feel like each passing day, the spring leaves her body, the power and immortality being sucked from her. As she watches those giant forms, she knows this isn't true. It will never leave her, she's frozen for eternity. She'll see more death, more wars and more sickness. She thinks she'll just slip into nothing, the Danaan's will just forget her. She knows all the other divinities like making a special little appearance now and then, that they're happy where they are, living and being special.
Even if she's the happiest one, the one who's supposed to enlighten everyone, remind them that there's an end to her brother's endless winter toll, she feels she's the saddest, even if it's hidden from the other divinities.
Her violet eyes are locked on the sky, her head is tilted back. She sits on a small swing, perfectly balance. Her wings are reaching out; angled slightly, her tail is still, hanging behind her. She feels like a statue, not only physically but emotionally. The grey city brushes the edge of the empty park. She's out of her element, completely. She's not even on Danaan lands.
She's not sure if that's legal, or not.
A smile slips across her lips, defiance drenching Spring's body. She feels lighter, now. The grey park starts brightening, she feels the power emanate from her tiny body. She can smell flowers, even in the middle of Autumn, Spring is lighting the park, even if it's only within fifty feet around her. The clouds are parting, memories of her lost love flitting away like butterflies. She doesn't affect the temperature, so her breath comes out in a swirl of Autumn air.
Maybe today's not so bad.

The day was grey, dreary and depressing, just how he liked it. It was true his appearance was rather ordinary compared to some, but in the end that gave him an advantage. Brilliant optics of a startling clear blue peer out from a visage of nearly black chocolate. Matching paws faded into a thick, although short mocha pelt, leading the world to believe he was nothing more then an ordinary house cat. Few ever suspected the Siamese looking cat to be the blood thirsty savage that he truly was deep in the dark recesses of his shriveled up heart.
One paw after another brought the beast deep into the parks confines, the clank of the abandoned swings chimed a lonesome song as the wind shifted through the play sets and across the grass covered grounds. Hannibal was on the hunt, his belly rumbled with hunger and his claws itched to sink themselves into the soft flesh of his brethren. You see, our feline here was a monster, docile and gentlemanly upon the outside, though rotten to the core.
There a short distance away, an abrupt change to the autumn day cause a slight hesitation to the cat's gait. Cranium teetered upon its short pillar while those glittering sapphires narrowed intently until they at last came to rest upon a small creature. One who would barely be classified as a snack for him. With a pale yellow pelt set off by amethyst winds resembling that of a spring butterfly. That's not really what held his attention, nor what pushed his rumbling belly to the back of his mind. No, rather it was the odd appearance of a change of season that surrounded the female. It was like walking through some man made movie set. An effect he found intriguing.
Shifting his weight forward the muscular feline moved deeper into the artificial spring circle drawing ever closer to its center and the source of the oddity.

Magnificent, yes. Indeed, she feels magnificent. It is the power that flows through her that brings her mood back up. The power of beauty and warmth, life; it makes her want to fly up to the clouds and rush through them, or run through the park, pulling the flowers and sun along with her in her wake. She stands, tail raising as if to brush the sky, a stretch arching her back and fluttering her wings. Butterfly grins, before something enters the spring circle.
She can feel the presence, something dark and intense stepping silently and easily into her scenery, something that watches her. She turns with a quick and fluid motion, so fast it takes mere seconds before she's completely turned around in the swing, not even rocking it a centimeter. Violet optics latch onto a skulking male, his dark round face peering up at her with bright azures.
Her heart skips beats, her whole chest suddenly emptying of all it's contents. The world radically turning direction, tilting violently beneath her feet and knocking the wind from her breath.
This creature... His eyes glisten like Tomas', his features are outstanding. Every movement he makes, he seems to be mimicking from her memory, as if he's reaching in and showing her everything she remembers. Butterfly, catching her breath, she stammers over his name, breathing the word before she seemed to almost glare at him. He is the mirror image of her lover, so close, she is almost convinced he is. She feels drawn to him, tempted to rush to his side and tell him about her undying love, how she has had nothing but endless thoughts of him.
Tomas is dead.
The reality swarms back, slapping her face and sending her spiraling back to earth. This male, this handsome male that makes her feel love all over again, he steps through the spring setting. She pauses, blinking before looking down at the flowers, then at him. Her voice travels, carrying with it the sounds of Spring. Who are you?

It was obvious the moment the femme became aware of his presence within this strange circle of vibrant growth. The gleam of rich electric blue peered out from that dark mask, the chill in his gaze only enhanced the frozen like quality that often bled from every pore. Oh there are times when this beast could appear nearly as warm as he was cold, but for the moment he chose to put forth a mildly charming visage to this strange female.
It wasn't odd to see a feline with wings, nor the paleness of her pelt. No that wasn't what gave him pause, nor was it the slight kitten like size of her frame, giving her an almost pixie like quality. No it was that aura of power that seemed to sing through the very air as she whipped round so fast that the action was nearly unseen. Had he relented in the steady unbroken stare he leveled upon the feline, and blinked even half way he'd have missed the blur of motion. But no, Hannibal never once removed that upturned gaze, while a slow partial smile slipped across his maw giving him a roguish appearance.
"I am called Hannibal," The low liquid tones of his vocals rose only enough to glide along her senses but no farther. He had no need to alert any other creatures that might happen by since he preferred to keep the majority of his attention on the interesting distraction that had, at least for the moment, pulled him from his hunt. "And you, my petal, who are you?"

A single leaf parted from it's mother tree, drifting through the autumn air towards them. It's bright orange colors stood out against the sky as it danced along the breeze, before flitting into the spring circle and landing before the male. It settled into the rich, green grass, upsetting a few flowers as they bowed under it's pressure. Outside her bright aura, a heavy presence seeped in through the tiny cracks.
Violet wings tilted down, then lifted up towards the sky, as if stretching. Matching purple orbs stared into intense blues, never parting from them. His name traveled to her, a deep voice sending shivers through her body. Hannibal, somehow it didn't quite surprise her. He appeared so dark and sinister, but it was thrilling in it's own way.
Spring played a smirk, the flowers seeming to brighten and the sky clearing a bit more. "Hannibal, what an interesting name.." A giggle passed from her, before she leaped from the swing, wings fluttering a moment till she landed mere feet from him. She held that eye contact, her tail twitching curiously. "I am Madame Butterfly... just Butterfly is fine though.." She brought a tiny paw foreword, as if to step.

A leaf, straying from its home swirled and danced upon the faint breeze, eventually coming to rest mere inches from where he remained standing. Slowly that mocha rump lowered to the earth, the length of that dark chocolate tail coiled tightly around his paws. Poised and silent his gaze never left her, never strayed from surveying her potential as his next meal. But all in all she was to small to be worth the effort. It was true kittens were a delicacy, so soft and tender and vulnerable. But it was more then a little obvious that this female was no kitten despite her size.
A smile did not break across that rich earthy visage as she leapt from her perch. Deep down he was mildly surprise at the boldness of this 'Madame Butterfly'. For a moment he wondered if her mother never taught her that cardinal rule, never approach a stranger. The low silent rumble of his belly was for the moment pushed to the back of his mind, perhaps there was a bit of entertainment here.
Carefully one side of that muzzle lifted in a roguish grin. The deep sensual tones of his voice rose once again, escaping from its dark cavern to be heard by her once more. "Butterfly, a fitting name for such a delicacy." The triangle of his cranium twisted upon its furred pillar, tilting to the left as he surveyed the lift of her paw. Would she come closer? Would she make an easy kill? Or a challenging one? It did not matter that he'd already deemed her to small and tough to be of any interest to his stomach. Dark and sinister thoughts coursed through his mind as he imagined her yowls of pain. That sweet voice begging for the mercy of death.

Daring is an understatement for our little Spring. Her boldness charges straight through the dead of winter, when all hope is lost for life, when there is not a blade of grass to be seen. She pulls the Earth back from the brink, spreading life and cheer, all in a neat package of colorful flowers and blue skies. So this would be easy, braving the tom before her through his dark, menacing appearance, and maybe passing that exterior to the male beneath, surely not as scary as he makes out to be. A ghoulish smile spreads across his visage, one that sends more chills down her body and encourages a rebellious grin from herself.
...for such a delicacy. Hannibal's voice lifts over the late autumn air and his breath swirls, something that causes our spring butterfly to press her lifted paw down to the Earth and make the cold go away, if only for a moment. There is something about his voice that is odd, too her, as though there is another meaning to his words. Hannibal, his name is familiar. A story she had heard somewhere, recently. A killer? That seems right. Yes, it was about a killer. Even, a cannibal. The words he chose moments ago strikes a chord and our Butterfly's eyes narrow slightly, though that daring smile is still across her face.
"Well, Hannibal.." She watches his eyes warily, but fear does not hang heavy in her mind. If anything, she has no fear. Whatever this Hannibal's intentions, there is courage in her heart that makes her believe he has nothing compared to her brother winter. The ice of his heart is wicked and treacherous, something that on more then one occasion had caused Madame Butterfly to hesitate in her efforts to bring Spring back to the world. Yes, this Hannibal character is a kitten compared to him. At least, that is what our Spring thinks...
"What brings you to the park, this lovely... autumn's day?"
